As we approach the end of 2015, we thought it would be a good time to reflect on some of the fantastic releases we’ve had this year, and give you the chance to own four of them with our special Christmas competition.
Set 22 years after the original Jurassic Park, Jurassic World opens with the intention of pushing the boundaries of genetic engineering. To lure customers in, the scientists at the attraction create a new hybrid dinosaur, which is smarter and more deadly than ever before. It’s up to Velociraptor trainer Owen Grady, played by Chris Pratt, to save two young brothers who become trapped in the park.
The Blu-ray comes loaded with special features, including an in-depth feature examining how Jurassic World was created, a behind-the-scenes look at the special effects, and a tour of the Innovation Centre – which was purpose-built for the movie – led by Chris Pratt.
Avengers: Age of Ultron features many familiar faces from 2012’s Avengers, including Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans. This time, the heroes must battle a dangerous and self-aware AI accidentally created by Tony Stark himself, which believes that the best way to achieve world peace is through mass human extinction.
The Blu-ray comes loaded with special features, including a behind-the-scenes look at the movie, deleted scenes and a gag reel.
Pixar’s Inside Out takes a hilarious look at the emotions in our head, and how they dictate the decisions we make. The film follows Riley, an 11-year-old girl who is led by Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness, which sit inside the control centre of her brain. When she moves to a new city, her favourite emotion – Joy – begins to struggle to keep control as the stresses of the move take hold.
The Blu-ray features a number of bonus extras, including a short film called Riley’s First Date, which shows how the whole family’s emotions react to Riley’s first encounter with young love.
Minions
Everyone’s favourite pint-sized creatures are back, this time in their own feature film, which sees three young Minions leave their isolated colony to serve a new master, called Scarlet Overkill. The trip takes them round the world as they try their best not to accidentally kill another master…
The Minions Blu-ray comes with three mini-movies, a number of deleted scenes and documentaries about the various production elements of the movie, including the animation and special effects.
In order to be in with a chance of winning all four films, you’ll need to answer the following question:
Last month, we launched a brand new website detailing all the features of the new Ultra HD Blu-ray format, which will be hitting the shelves in 2016. Ultra HD Blu-ray displays movies in 4K, four times as many pixels as Full HD TVs, and 27 times as many as standard definition. Ultra HD Blu-ray will also support HDR, meaning that high contrast scenes are shown with much more clarity and contrast.
To win the films, you need to head to www.UHDBDinnumbers.com and tell us what HDR stands for in the comments below. For a second chance, click the tweet button above.
Make sure you leave your Twitter below so it’s easier for us to contact you. We’ll be announcing a winner on the 4th January – good luck!
