years after The Blair Witch Project had us hiding behind our sofas with its terrifying found-footage format, a new sequel, titled Blair Witch, which hits shelves on 23rd January.
Set 20 years after the first film, Blair Witch follows James – whose sister vanished into the Black Hills Forest in Maryland – and his friends as they venture into the same woods to uncover the secrets behind the disappearances. At first, the group is hopeful, as a pair of locals offer to help guide them through the dense forest. However, as the group gets deeper into the woods, it soon becomes clear that a menacing presence is stalking them, and that the terrifying legend behind the forest is all too real.
The Blu-ray comes with great special features, including audio commentary by the directors, a look at the making of the film, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the set.
