Warner Home Entertainment has announced it will bring a 30th Anniversary Edition of Blade Runner to Blu-ray Disc this autumn. Although a European release date has yet to be confirmed, rest assured when it is, we’ll let you know.
Director Ridley Scott’s iconic take on Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep sees Harrison Ford take centre stage as Rick Deckard, a special-ops officer hunting genetically engineered robots. On receiving orders to kill four, Deckard’s mission takes him on a colossal journey from the bowels of LA to the birthplace of this next-generation of technology.
The special edition will offer a colossal five different versions of the movie, the rare workprint version, the 1982 domestic and international theatrical cuts, the 1993 director’s cut and the 2007 Final Cut, which includes additional revisions not present in previous versions. Bonus features will include a photo gallery with over 1,000 new images, feature-
length documentary Dangerous Days and six behind-the-scenes featurettes.
