UK technology website TechRadar has recently compiled a list of its top 10 Blu-ray players available on the market now. Ranging from entry level to top-of-the-line, there are models to fit every budget from the modest to the extravagant. So if you’re in need of a new player, want to upgrade to a 3D capable model or just fancy having a browse, it might be worth checking it out.
Included in the stellar line up are exceptional entry-level models from Panasonic, Sony, LG, Yamaha and Samsung. A plethora of features are detailed from Panasonic’s DMP-BDT110 player which offers ‘sparkling’ 2D-to-3D image conversion. Also highlighted is Sony’s ‘mighty tempting’ BDP-S570 player which has an impressive range of features for only £150.
At the higher end of the scale, Denon’s DBP-1611UD player will set you back £400 but is a formidable contender with its 1GB of built in memory and smooth image quality. But if you’re really keen to push the boat out you could opt for the Oppo BDP-83SE NuForce Edition model – TechRadar rank it as ‘battleship grade’ and it’s built with audiophiles as well as film lovers in mind.
