For this week’s Blu-ray Monday we’re giving you the chance to win one of 2013’s biggest movies – Man of Steel.
Superman, the original comic book superhero, hasn’t been seen on the big screen since 2006’s Superman Returns. With Marvel characters like Iron Man, Thor and Captain America dominating the genre since then, it was high time for the man of steel to make a return, and director Zach Snyder (300, Watchmen) and producer Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight trilogy) have delivered in style. Taking a more grounded approach to the character, Man of Steel brings incredible action and added depth to the legendary comic book character. The film stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent and his costumed alter-ego, and a glittering supporting cast including Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe and Laurence Fishburne. It goes without saying that Man of Steel is a movie that really shines in high definition on Blu-ray, and with a selection of extra content delving into the making of the film and how the classic characters have been adapted for modern audiences, this is a must for Superman fans old and new.
As usual, you have two chances to win. For your first entry, just click on the tweet button above. Then for a second entry, leave a comment below on the following topic:
Soon after Man of Steel proved to be a hit in cinemas, director Zach Snyder made many comics fans’ dreams come true by announcing that the sequel will also feature Batman. Subsequent details – including Ben Affleck’s casting as the caped crusader and rumours about other DC Comics characters, from Wonder Woman and The Flash to Batman’s protégé Nightwing, that could appear – have set the internet alight, but we want to find out what you want from the much-anticipated sequel. Which characters or storylines do you want to see? What are you looking for from a Batman played by Ben Affleck? Is there anything you thought was missing from Man of Steel? Do you want more romance between Lois and Clark?
