Hard-hitting thriller Taken 2, sequel to 2008’s unexpected smash hit, has been confirmed to be released on Blu-ray next February.
Starring Liam Neeson in the career redefining role of CIA operative Bryan Mills, Taken 2 picks up after the events of the first film, when Mills stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) from kidnappers. When the father of one of the villains Bryan killed swears revenge, and takes him and his wife hostage in Istanbul, Bryan must enlist the help of Kim to escape. Bryan then employs his unique tactics to get his family to safety and systematically take out the kidnappers, one by one.
When Taken 2 hits Blu-ray it will include several features exclusive to the Blu-ray, including two versions of the film (theatrical and unrated), a black ops field manual, deleted and extended scenes, an alternate ending and a featurette on the film’s special effects.
