Rock of Ages, the musical comedy based on the hit Broadway show, will be released in high-definition on Blu-ray in October. Expect nothin’ but a good time as Tom Cruise, Russell Brand, Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Alec Baldwin turn in stellar performances.
From director Adam Shankman, Rock of Ages follows small town girl Sherrie and city boy Drew, who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams. A love story that celebrates big dreams and loud drums, Rock of Ages features hits from several legendary bands, including Def Leppard, Foreigner, Journey, Poison, REO Speedwagon and Twisted Sister.
The Blu-ray features both the extended edition and theatrical cuts of the film in high-definition, as well as a host of exclusive special features. These include a documentary on The Sunset Strip featuring interviews with some of the bands who contribute to the soundtrack, a behind-the-scenes feature with the cast and crew and several more featurettes on how the 80s vibe was recreated perfectly on screen.
