Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has revealed the multi-award winning adaptation of Kathryn Stockett’s The Help will be released on Blu-ray Disc throughout Europe from March 12th.
Starring Emma Stone as head-strong writer Skeeter Phelan, this touching movie follows her relationship with two black maids during the Civil Rights era in 1960s America. Viola Davis plays veteran maid Aibileen and Octavia Spencer the unstoppable and unruly housekeeper Minny – a role which has seen her take home an Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress.
Special features on the Blu-ray include a making-of documentary charting the project’s evolution from page to film, a tribute to the maids of Mississippi in the 60s, deleted scenes and much more.
