Last night’s 84th Annual Academy Awards saw the crème de la crème of the movie making world gather in a magnificent celebration of film, with some fantastic titles scooping the top awards.
Amongst them was Martin Scorsese’s family adventure, Hugo, which picked up no less than five Oscars for visual effects, sound, art direction and cinematography. Hugo is perfect entertainment for all the family and a perfect film to enjoy in high definition, which is why it’s the prize for this week’s Blu-ray Monday competition. We’ll post one lucky winner a copy of it on Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D upon its release on 2nd April.
Twelve-year-old Hugo (Asa Butterfield) lives inside the walls of a Parisian train station in the 1930s. His very survival depends on anonymity, but when the enchanting Isabelle (Chloë Moretz) comes into his life, it quickly takes a dramatic twist and soon his most closely guarded secret is put at risk.
