Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment has announced Martin Scorsese’s family thriller Hugo will be available on a Double Play Blu-ray Disc pack throughout Europe from 26th March.
Comprising of a Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D copy of the movie, the film adaptation of Brian Selznick’s The Invention of Hugo Cabret features an award-winning cast including the talents of Jude Law, Chloë Moretz and Asa Butterfield. If you needed anymore reassurance that this is no ordinary kids’ film, both the movie and its director have been nominated respectively for Academy Awards – Scorsese for Best Director and Hugo for Best Picture.
Hugo (Butterfield) is a twelve-year-old living inside the walls of a Parisian train station in the 1930s. His shelter and survival depend upon anonymity but life takes a dramatic turn when he encounters the eccentric Isabelle (Moretz) and soon Hugo’s undercover life and most guarded secret are put at risk.
Fans will be delighted to see this beautiful story come alive on their screens once more accompanied by an incredible HD Master Audio 7.1 soundtrack. Extras confirmed include featurettes Shoot the Moon, The Cinemagician: Georges Méliès, The Mechanical Man at the Heart of Hugo, Big Effects – Small Scale and Sacha Baron Cohen: Role of a Lifetime.
