2011 saw David Fincher direct the English adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo – the opening chapter in Stieg Larsson’s bestselling trilogy. Sony has now announced that the BD will be available to own on 23rd April.
Starring the ineffable Daniel Craig alongside first time Oscar nominee Rooney Mara, this film has been nominated for five Academy Awards to date. Craig plays disgraced journalist Mikael Blomkvist who, alongside tattooed hacker Lisbeth Salander played by Mara, is hired by a wealthy patriarch to investigate the disappearance of his niece 40 years before. As their investigation progresses Blomkvist and Salander encounter grave danger when unravelling the beginnings of a dark and corrupt family history.
Featuring commentary by David Fincher, the BD comes in 1080p to maximise image quality and with a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack for fantastic audio.
