Paramount Home Entertainment treated film romantics recently by announcing that Alfred Hitchcock’s To Catch A Thief will be released on Blu-ray later this year. To date, no European release date has been announced but we’ll keep you updated on any further announcements.
Cary Grant plays “The Cat”, a notorious but retired jewel thief who falls under renewed suspicion by the police after a series of robberies take place that resemble his style. The movie follows his journey to prove his innocence, during which he makes the acquaintance of the lovely Francie (Grace Kelly), who teases him, not only with her stunning collection of expensive jewellery, but also her heart.
Beautifully shot on the cliffs of the French Riviera, this classic thriller is a delight for fans of 1950s Hollywood Glamour. The recently announced Blu-ray edition will feature a whole raft of special features, including an insightful commentary by Hitchcock film historian Dr Drew Casper, a making of featurette, a closer look at Cary Grant and Grace Kelly and much more.
