Fans of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas will be excited to hear that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will bring Johnny Depp’s new satirical character masterpiece, The Rum Diary, to Blu-ray on the 5th March.
Adapted for the big screen from the semi-autobiographical debut novel by Hunter S. Thompson, The Rum Diary tells the story of Paul Kemp (Johnny Depp), who leaves the hustle and bustle of early 1960s New York behind to start a new life in Puerto Rico as a journalist for a local newspaper. Hundreds of bottles of rum and many hilarious scenes later, Kemp finds himself embroiled in an unethical real-estate deal with a dubious American businessmen (Aaron Eckhart), whose charming fiancé Kemp finds hard to resist.
The rich mix of comedy, action and political undertone is bound to get your backing on this Blu-ray Disc. It also boasts two great behind-the-scenes featurettes – A Voice Made of Ink and Rage: Inside The Rum Diary and The Rum Diary Back-Story.
