Back in August we bought you the news that Green Lantern was making its way onto Blu-ray. Now that its release is just under a week away, we’ve giving you the chance to win the Triple Play extended version as part of our Blu-ray Monday competition.
Starring Ryan Reynolds and directed by Casino Royale’s Martin Campbell, this version of the DC comic classic is one fantasy film that you won’t want to miss. Reynolds stars as aircraft test pilot Hal Jordan who unwittingly becomes embroiled in the intergalactic world of the Green Lantern Corps.
As usual with Blu-ray Monday, you have two chances to win. For your first entry hit the tweet button at the top of this post. Then for a second entry, leave a comment on this post in response to the following question:
From romantic comedies such as The Proposal to solo performance films like Buried, and now action blockbusters like Green Lantern, Ryan Reynolds has successfully portrayed a range of characters in hugely differing circumstances. Which actors or actresses do you think are particularly versatile and why? Perhaps the contrast from Robert De Niro’s sinister portrayal of Jake Lamotta in Raging Bull to his comedic depiction of Jack Burns in Meet The Fockers, means he gets your vote? Or maybe you’ve been impressed by the transition from Natalie Portman’s perturbed ballet dancer Nina Sayers in Black Swan to her carefree performance as Emma in rom-com No Strings Attached?
