US iPad owners are now able to experience some of the special features available on the upcoming Star Wars: The Complete Saga Blu-ray Disc Collection, thanks a new app entitled Star Wars Blu-ray: Early Access.
Set to hit Europe in August, the app gives users a visual sneak-peak at what they’ll be able to experience when the most eagerly anticipated Blu-ray Disc box set in the galaxy arrives in stores on September 26th.
Making good use of Apple’s touch screen functionality, viewers will be able to pinch and zoom in on concept art, spin props and models and even take an early look at some of the feature content that will come with the Blu-ray collections.
While the app allows users to preview some of the special content that will be on the Blu-ray, it’s really only a tiny taster of the 40 hours of content that will come with the full package upon its release in September. One thing’s for sure – it’s bound to get pulses racing and tongues wagging in anticipation of the main event.
