Maverick, Iceman and Goose will make a triumphant return to the skies this August in the Blu-ray 25th Anniversary digital re-release of the aviation classic, Top Gun.
Packed with planes, bikes, beach volleyball and bathed in its slick façade of 80s magnificence, Top Gun defined the modern day action blockbuster when it was first released.
Extras to the Anniversary Blu-ray include Tom Cruise interviews, commentaries by the producer, director and screenwriter, a six-part documentary called ‘Danger Zone: The Making of Top Gun’, multi-angle storyboards, behind the scenes and survival training footage as well as a featurette called ‘Best of the Best: Inside the Real Top Gun’.
Re-mastered in 1080p with both a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio track and DTS-HD Master Audio track, this anniversary Blu-ray is a must for any collection. A US release date is confirmed for 30th August with a European release expected not long after.
