Due to the bank holiday, today’s Blu-ray Monday will in fact be a Blu-ray Tuesday giveaway but as the prize is Danny Boyle’s Oscar-nominated ‘127 Hours’ on BD, we hope you’ll agree that its worth the wait.
Based on the incredible experience of rock climber Aron Ralston, who became trapped alone in a Utah canyon for days resorting to extraordinary measures to survive, 127 Hours was nominated for six Academy Awards.
As usual with our Blu-ray giveaways, you have two chances to win. For your first entry hit the tweet button at the top of this post. Then for a second entry, leave a comment on this post to the following question:
James Franco’s stunning performance in 127 Hours earned him a nomination for an Academy Award for ‘Best Actor’. Acting alone in a cave for most of the film, his solo performance left audiences glued to the screen for the film’s entirety. Few actors can command that kind of on screen charisma but when they do their performances are always remembered. Which actors have you found compelling to watch over the years? Maybe you were gripped by the one man shows of Tom Hanks in Castaway or Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler? Or perhaps you were fascinated by a smaller role which more than stole the show such as Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs or Marlin Brando as Colonel Walter E. Kurtz in Apocalypse now.
Either way, let us know for your chance to win 127 Hours on Blu-ray.
