Well, what’s left to be said about ‘The King’s Speech’? Easily the most talked about British movie of 2011 and scooping a whole display cabinet of Academy Awards, Golden Globes and Baftas, (including Oscars for Best Actor, Best Director and Best Film), it’s been an unstoppable triumph of royal proportions. So with great honour, Momentum Pictures has announced plans to bring the movie to Blu-ray Disc in the UK from 9th May and the rest of Europe shortly after.
Having captured the imagination of a global audience, The King’s Speech follows George VI (Colin Firth) as he struggles to overcome his lifelong stutter with the help of speech therapist Lionel Logue (Geoffrey Rush).
The Blu-ray Disc is set to be packed with a wealth of spectacular extras, including insightful making of features, a director’s commentary and a special interview with Mark Logue, Lionel Logue’s grandson and co-author of ‘The King’s Speech: How One Man Saved the British Monarchy’.
Set to extend its legacy on Blu-ray, ‘The King’s Speech’ is one royal appointment worth queuing up for.
