Toshiba has this week announced a new laptop in its Satellite range that includes a Blu-ray Disc drive.
The Toshiba Satellite A660 has been designed with multimedia in mind, featuring not only Blu-ray support but also Intel’s Wireless Display (WiDi) technology, which allows video and music to be streamed wirelessly to WiDi-compatible TVs. It’s the first laptop on the market to support this technology.
The A660 also includes HDMI output and DNLA functionality, in addition to a new feature called USB Sleep-and-Music. This allows the user to connect and listen to an external MP3 player through the speakers, even while the laptop is asleep.
