Fans eager to see more of the team bickering, fighting and learning to work together will be delighted to hear that about 30 minutes of cut footage, said to focus particularly on Captain America as he adjusts to life in the 21st century, is set to appear on the Blu-ray.

A release is still a long way off, but it’s certainly enough to whet our appetites for what will surely be one of 2012’s biggest Blu-rays. We’ll post more information as and when it appears. You can watch Collider’s interview with Joss Whedon, where he discusses the deleted scenes, here.
