Blade Runner to get 4K release

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has confirmed that Blade Runner, Ridley Scott’s classic sci-fi thriller, will be released on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on 5th September.

Originally released in 1982, the visually-spectacular action-packed Blade Runner now returns as a definitive Final Cut by director Ridley Scott, including extended scenes and never-before-seen special effects.

Set in a dystopian future, Harrison Ford play Rick Deckard, a detective responsible for hunting fugitive, murderous replicants – androids who are disguised as human beings. While tracking the elusive replicants, he stumbles across Rachel – a woman who has the potential to undermine everything he stands for.

The Ultra HD Blu-ray features a Dolby Atmos soundtrack remixed specifically for the home environment. The film also comes with a number of special features:
