Avatar back in 3D on Blu-ray

James Cameron’s epic, Avatar, is set to make its return to 3D on Blu-ray on the 15th of October. Although the film was originally intended to be enjoyed in 3D in the cinema, it has previously been unavailable in the third dimension in the home outside of an exclusive Panasonic deal.

The high-definition Collector’s Edition features the original theatrical release in unique collectable packaging.

James Cameron is quoted as saying “3D television is the future of home entertainment, I’m a huge proponent of the technology and very pleased that ‘Avatar’ can be viewed in the living room the way it is meant to be seen.”

The producer John Landau agrees: “As the number of homes with 3D televisions continues to grow, we thought it was important to bring the biggest 3D film ever right into your living room. This is the only way fans should experience the world of Pandora and this release offers the highest picture quality possible.
